Mommy's Travelling Check List

Halloooooo...

Does travel with baby sound stressful? Never happened to me before as my family and I were only travel for balik kampung to Penang and Kelantan by car and it tooks around 4-6 hours journey only. So less stressful there

Sophie at 9 months never rides any public transport but for this time balik kampung yes we will rides a train back to my hometown in Kuala Krai for my cousin's wedding. I can foresee a little bit stressful as my husband not come along with us but I have my cousin and her son with me this time. I hope it's helpful

We will rides in a cabin coach with 2 double-decker bed, one sink, 1 chair and TV.  I’m hoping Sophie will behave. Please please don’t throw tantrums. But a real worry and concerns right now is “how-to-pack-my heavy luggage" (definitely it will heavy as we are away for 7 days!)

In order to avoid hay wire, I prepared this packing list. Gulp. I know it’s a long list but I need it all and I’m not kind of agreed with travel light policies. Almost every time, packing smart inevitably means packing light, but when your goal is to pack light at all costs, sometimes you’ll leave behind something that really could come in handy

We definitely cannot compromise with our baby needs and I rather say I pack smart and dude, it's 12 hours journey-Mashallah!

Travelling Check-list (Luggage) 

Sophie

1. Food
Powdered Milk (for 2 days)
One feeding bowl
Plastic containers (2)
A set of spoons
Few bottles of Heinz food
Farley Rusks Biscuits
Bottles (1 big) (2 smalls)
Bibs (2)
* Use Zip Locs as it is fabulous for keeping clean ones clean and organized

2. Diapers
10 only (for 2 days)
Wipes (1)
Napkins (2)
Assorted plastic bags (for used diapers)

3 . Clothes (Approx. 2 outfits per day)
Pyjamas (4)
Pants (4) Tights (1)
Shirts (2)
Casual/home (4)
Outing (4)

Handkerchiefs (2)
* This is pretty straightforward, but you don’t need to fill your luggage with extra clothing if you have the chance to wash during your trip. But sometimes the weather is unpredictable, so it should be okey to put extra clothes for your baby/kids as their tiny clothes only need small space compared to parents. (so mommies, do sacrifices your clothes!) haha

* Prevent leaks by packing medicines and toiletries in Zip Locs. You can easily get one in Carrefour or Cold Storage.

5. Nighttime Necessities
Dora Blanket
One small pillow

6. Toys/Books
* You need fewer toys than you think. Just bring 2-3 items only and;-
* Pack the small version and leave the giant toys at home

7. Extras

* Pack basic, solid-colored clothing that mix and match – for your kids, and for yourself. Keep it cotton and wrinkle-free, too.

2. Skin care/ Toiletries (in Zip Loc bags)
* Pack the small version. You can ask for the samples from beauty counters in any shopping mall.

3. Make-up 
* Pack light and go for the basis unless you’re attending fashion show!

4. Medicines
Pack light unless you’re going to Congo

* For hygiene’s purpose, I would bring my own pillow case and blanket
* For blanket we can use them to lay our baby on, cover our baby, cover ourselves, protect our clothes from messy burps, shade our baby, and more

* If you need more, you can usually buy more instead of packing more. If you need more diapers, more milk, or something else don’t try taking all you need for your whole trip. In most cases, it’s a better idea to buy what you need when you need it

Sophie's bag!

Last Sunday Sophie and I join my family's short vacation in Cameron Highlands. Not lucky me for not bring along the camera charger so no photos in CH except the one using the other's camera. Sophie's papa not join as we went there on Sunday and back to KL on weekdays i.e on Tuesday. He save his leave for our weekend getaway in Bukit Merah Laketown Resort tomorrow and proceed with balik kampung, Penang until next week.

This time, I wanna share what I've packed for Sophie's balik kampung bag. Travel light for Sophie as mommy need more space.Ngeeeee..

My diaper bag

For all this while, i'm looking for a diaper bag yang tak nampak macam diaper bag..hehe..no pink,no girlish style, no loud color..nak yang simple2 je which is yang bila aku bawak nampak bergaya dan bila my hubby bawak tak nampak silly..muahaha..Finally i got one from ZARA..murah saja around RM100-ish sajo. Suka bag nih sebab spacious dan aku boleh sumbat segala macam benda dan paling penting, senang nak selongkar cari barang anak..Meh lah kita tengok apa ada dalam beg lampin aku nie..

My Hospital Bag

Pwettt..I hits 36th weeks today i.e 9th months pregnancy. Today I start packing my hospital bag..just  start with a basic items.. Maybe later on will sort out again, what to put aside and what to add. I'm not sure how many days I will be warded but just prepare for 2-3 days stuff. Overpack is better than underpack..hehe

Subject: The bag

Make up bag & dry toiletries bag

Water proof toiletries bag (for shower)

Medicine bag (with all the ointment & potion)

My hospital folder (contains all the details of my ante- natal check-up, it's like 'buku merah' for govt. hosp), my baby first book, note book & pencil case

Hospital slipper & flip-flop for toilet

Socks (thick and thin) (3) actually socks nih nak dipadankan dengan my sarung & pants. Sarung biru pakai stoking biru..white pants pakai stoking putih kuning pink tuh..hihi sempat lagi tu..

Robe (senang nak keluar masuk tandas)

What's in My Travel Make-up Bag and Toiletries?

Hi guys! last friday we went for a short trip.2 hours journey only. That's Ipoh only maa..My bro in law's house. Dia buat house warming cum his daughter's first besday. 

Ok, talk about packing..i loveee packing. I'm quite obsess with that since i was teenager and that's what my parents and my sister always 'bising'...a lot of stuff! Sorting out all the stuff is something fun okehh! Normally I would spend a whole day just to pack even for a short trip.  But yet count packing for balik kampung in Kelantan and Penang. It feels like i'm gonna bring everything with me..Hehe..My husband very clear about that

But now i just wanna share what i got in my toiletries and make-up bag for a 2 days visit. For the luggage tak payahla..Next time if i have a time and  not to forget if i have the mood, i'll share what i pack for my hospital bag..hehe

Overall, mak bawak 3 small bags..One for toiletries, one for my make-up and the last one for medicine
